Control of Active Polymeric Filaments by Chemically Powered Nanomotors

چکیده

Active materials with distinctive nonequilibrium properties have diverse science applications. systems are common in living matter, such as the filament network cell that is activated by molecular motors, and exemplified hydrogels chemical reactions. Here we describe another class of active polymeric where filaments embedded chemically-powered nanomotors catalytic noncatalytic parts. Chemical reactions on surfaces produce forces act filaments. By changing conditions these can be made to change sign thereby compress or expand The motors provide both source activity means control conformational structure. As an example control, show oscillatory variations constraints yield gel-like networks oscillate between expanded compressed forms, much like those hydrogels.
